With our proven curriculum, expert instructors and supportive environment, the New Rider Course can teach almost anyone to ride.

Even if you’ve never ridden a motorcycle before, don’t worry. The Rider’s Edge® New Rider Course was specially designed to give you the knowledge and the skills to ride with confidence—we’ll even supply the bikes.

REQUIREMENTS
To take the Rider's Edge® New Rider Course, you'll need:

A valid automobile driver's license or learner's permit
To be able to ride a bicycle

For the riding sessions, you'll need:

A heavy long-sleeve shirt or leather jacket
Jeans, chaps or leather pants
Over-the-ankle, sturdy footwear
Full-fingered gloves
A helmet that meets DOT requirements
Eyewear

COST
The cost of the New Rider Course is $300.
Remember, the price includes the use of a Buell® Blast® motorcycle for class riding sessions.

SCHEDULE
The course is scheduled over four days, Thursday to Sunday. Weekday sessions are held in the evening at our dealership classroom. Saturday and Sunday sessions run all day and are taught on a controlled range near our dealership. Attendance at each session is mandatory — if you miss a class for any reason, you'll have to reschedule so you can take the course again from start to finish. THE CARD
You will receive your Motorcycle Safety Foundation RiderCourse^SM completion card after passing a multiple-choice written knowledge test and a riding skills evaluation.
This card exempts you from having to take the riding portion of your motorcycle license test.
Depending on your insurance provider, the completion card can also qualify you for a substantial discount - usually 10 to 15% - on motorcycle coverage. Check with your insurance company for details.
